What you need
- A stack of books or a board for a ramp
- A few toy cars or balls
- Tape measure or string (optional)
Setup
- Prop a board or a stack of books against a chair to make a ramp
- Mark a starting line at the top and let a car go
- Raise or lower the ramp and race again

- Which ramp height makes the car go fastest?
- Does a heavier car or a lighter car win the race?
- How far past the bottom of the ramp does the car travel?
Ways to change it up
- Race two ramps side by side against a sibling
- Add a soft finish-line barrier and measure the stopping distance

- Keep the ramp stable so it does not collapse
- Clear the landing area of breakables
