What you need
- Cardboard
- Marker
- 4-6 kitchen objects (spoon, cup, block)
Setup
- Trace each object's outline onto its own spot on the cardboard
- Lay the objects nearby in a jumbled pile
- Show one match before handing it over
Play prompts
- Which outline does this belong to?
- Can you match them all?
- What else in the kitchen might match one of these?
Ways to change it up
- Cut the outlines out so objects sit inside like a puzzle
- Use toy shapes instead of kitchen objects
Safety notes
- Choose objects with no sharp edges for toddlers
