What you need
- A flashlight
- A dark or dim room, or a safe garden space
Setup
- Clear the play area of tripping hazards
- Dim the lights or wait for dusk outside
- Choose who holds the flashlight first
Play prompts
- Can you freeze the instant the beam hits you?
- Can you sneak past without being spotted?
- Can you tag everyone before time runs out?
Ways to change it up
- Swap the flashlight holder each round
- Add a 'thaw' rule where a frozen player can be unfrozen by a teammate
- Play in teams instead of one-vs-all
Safety notes
- Only play in a space checked for trip hazards
- Keep the beam away from eyes
- Set clear boundaries for the play area
